The Chasm of Poudrey: big enough to contain the cathedral of Paris!
The Chasm of Poudrey takes you 70 metres underground, leading into an immense chamber which gives you an immediate and lasting impression of being in a sacred place. During a 45 minute underground walk you will discover a phenomenal geological wonder, both in its formation and its interior dimensions: 1 MILLION CUBIC METRES. It is at present the biggest such chamber to be developed for visiting in France.
It is a unique universe containing architecture like none on earth. In this kingdom of shadows, nature has dreamed up strange and sumptuous decorations. Water has fashioned the rock like a sculptor. A minutely detailed work of art, produced with just one tool; the drops of water which seep out of the karstic vaults to build up stalactites and stalagmites.

New techniques, new music, special effects. Starting with the Big Bang, the formation of the universe, our solar system and the earth are revealed to the amazed visitors. The apparition of water, the oceans, the formation of caves and chasms, ending with the fantastic legend of the Chasm of Poudrey. This show, unique of its kind and truly marvellous, guides the visitors in growing wonder through a series of visual and acoustic discoveries and makes use of this immense natural chamber to remarkable effect.
